MINUTES OF NORWICH ETHICS COMMISSION MEETING March 14, 2016 MEMBERS PRESENT Robert Ballard Kathryn Lord Carol Menard MEMBERS ABSENT Christopher Dixon ALTERNATES PRESENT Gregory Schlough ALTERNATES ABSENT None OTHERS PRESENT Melinda Wilson - Recording Secretary 1. Call to order: Carol Menard, Chair, called the March 14, 2016 meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. 2. Determination of Quorum: It was determined a quorum was present. Greg Schlough was seated as a member. 3. Approval of Minutes: On a motion by Kathryn Lord, seconded by Mac Ballard, the minutes of the January 11, 2016 were approved with the correction of Gregory Schlough’s name, who was not present at the meeting. Greg Schlough abstained due to non-attendance. 4. Citizen Comment: None 5. New Business: Introductions: Greg was introduced to the Ethics Commission members. Procedures: Carol explained that there is a process in place for Greg Schlough to become a full member, however it is not automatic. Greg will complete the form from the Mayor’s website and submit it. The City Council will follow their procedures. 6. Old Business: Carol reported that Patrick McMahon resigned from the Ethics Commission. His resignation was received by Betsy Barrett, City Clerk. Letters were sent to the complainants and respondents from the last case. 7. Adjournment: On a motion to adjourn by Kathryn Lord, seconded by Mac Ballard, the Ethics Commission adjourned at 5:10 PM.
