Driscoll (7:20) Richard Podurgiel Others Present John Paesani, PGA Professional Bruce Morse, Superintendent Glenn Meadows, Member’s Club Meeting called to order at 7:03 p.m. Motion made by Mr. Strouse, seconded by Mr. Podurgiel, to approve minutes from the August meeting as presented. This motion passed unanimously. Treasurer’s Report Revenue for Aug. 2010 $158,074.84 Revenue YTD $976,050.69 Motion by Mr. Podurgiel, seconded by Mr. DiBattista to accept the Treasurer’s Report, motion passed unanimously. Chairman’s Report / Correspondence 1) Letter from Jack O’Keefe Memorial requesting a donation. Damage done to men’s bathroom at the Gopher Hole, will attempt to fix before Centennial Golf Gala on Saturday. Greens Committee 1) Alternative insurance option presented. 2) Bids have gone out for irrigation upgrades. Clubhouse Committee - No report presented. Planning Committee - No report presented. Budget Committee - No report presented. Marketing Committee 1) Ending Norwich Bulletin ad program. 2) Currently running spot ads on KOOL 101. 3) Currently under budget with funds available for holiday ads. Superintendent’s Report 1) High water bill for this month. 2) Fairway and green aeration has been completed. 3) Course has been busy. Professional’s Report 1) Labor Day weekend revenues were strong, comparable to 2009 despite rain on Friday and Saturday morning. 2) September revenues through 09.22: 2009: $77,200 2010: $94,600 3) 2011 outing calendar commitments received from: a. Norwich Chamber of Commerce May 16 b. Norwich Firefighters June 21 c. Jerry Jastremski Memorial July 29 d. Haitian Health Foundation August 18 e. St. John School Sept. 10 f. Spirit of Broadway Theater Sept. 13 Member’s Club 1) Slate of officers presented. 2) Concern about value of membership due to specials. Motion by Mr. DiBattista, seconded by Mr. Whitty to adjourn @ 7:55 pm, this motion passed unanimously.
