To: NGCA Members From: Barney Caulfield, Chairman NGCA Re: Minutes of NGCA special meeting of March 13, 2019 Members Present Richard Strouse Michael Driscoll Bob Malouf Richard Podurgiel Charles Whitty David DiBattista Angelo Yeitz Others Present Mike Svab, Pro Manager Ray Lathrop, Member’s Club Call to Order • Chairman Caulfield called the special meeting of the Norwich Golf Course Authority to order at 7:00p.m. Minutes • Chairman Caulfield announced he had received an email communication from Superintendent Bruce Morse advising that Mr. Morse will be resigning his position as golf course superintendent to the Norwich Golf Course on March 24, 2019. Discussion followed concerning the effect this resignation may have on the course this season, the requirements associated with the superintendent’s position, and the need to provide for the same, short and long term. Additional discussion addressed the effect of the resignation on the budget, the plans for opening the course for the 2019 season, and determining the amounts due to Mr. Morse upon his leaving, as well as securing and organizing required records. These matters will be further considered and many acted upon at the regular meeting of the Authority scheduled for March 20, 2019. Adjournment A motion to adjourn the special meeting was made at 8:05p.m. by Mr. DiBattista, seconded by Mr. Malouf, and approved unanimously.
