Greeneville Neighborhood Revitalization Committee

Greeneville NRZ Minutes January 2,2013 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Peter Procko, Sofee Noblick, Stan Kaplan, Sonya Skindzier, Kathy Strenkowski Minutes: December 5,20L2 minutes accepted and approved. New Business: Greeneville Dam Cleanup to be scheduled for the Sunday after Opening Fishing Season. Peter will check on the date for this, Would like to have this as an annual event with other activities related to fishing. Will discuss this further at the next meeting. Greeneville Day: Will discuss the date for the 201-3 event at the next meeting. United Community Service Health Van: Would like to have this as an ongoing event in April for the van to visit Greeneville. Priority Areas to Landscape: For the next meeting we need to bring suggestions for the top three areas we would like to have landscaped. Perhaps around the gateways into Greeneville; areas on Boswell Ave. May need to talk to property owners regarding this. Once we have a plan as to the areas we decide on, we can go forward and try to find funding for the projects. Gateway Sign: Apparently the sign that was at the entrance to Greeneville from the Taftville side, cannot be repaired. We will need to replace this sign. Will be looking for a sponsor for this. Walking Tour of Greeneville: This was mentioned as a possibility for the future. Suggestion made to incorporate it as part of Greeneville Day to educate the community on the history of Greeneville and all its good points.
