GREENEVILLE NRZ Meeting Minutes March 4, 2015 6:00 p.m. in the new Community Room, 444 North Main, in the firehouse. Attendees: Peter Procko, Sofee Noblick, John Mercier, Stan Kaplan, Sgt. Peter Camp, Officers Ken Wright and Denis Bialowas, and Mike Dziavit of the Fire Dept., and Jason Vincent Minutes: December 3, 2014 meeting minutes accepted and approved. (January and February meetings cancelled due to weather.) New Business: Peter Procko discussed our rough year, member-wise: we lost John Anderson, and recently Sonia Skindzier; and Don Wojciechowski (death of a family member). Are there any new prospects for members? There are some possibiliities but mention it around. Community Policing: Sgt. Peter Camp reported on a Community Policing staff change: we have two new officers, Officers Ken Wright and Denis Bialowas. Old Business: Strategic Plan: Jason Vincent has worked on updating the strategic plan format, moving it to an editable Word format, and he presented copies of our “Strategic Plan for the Revitalization of Greeneville” to all in attendance. He said the next steps are 1) inventory, 2) assessment, and 3) strategy. Items mentioned were: --Member transitions – invite new people, fresh faces (from where, when). Interested Greeneville businesses/organizations: Kleeman’s, Street Stuff, Adam Bowles of Peniel Church. --Accomplishments since ‘01 - cameras, sidewalks; other --A game plan - sidewalks, basketball lighting; talk about sidewalk near the Old Mill Tavern, an engineering study with a widened street, then the guardrail, then the sidewalk. - our strategy with UCFS - plan Spirit of Greeneville event - 2 new problems—guardrails at the basketball court, and the Wall on Central above N.Main St. Community Room, 444 North Main, in the firehouse: We are using it this evening for this meeting. A table and chairs are coming. Next month we will have a dedication ceremony; the Fire Chief will come, he has backed us.
