Greeneville Neighborhood Revitalization Zone November 6, 2023 -Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to Order: 6:06 p.m. Attendees: Committee members Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski, Henry Fidrych, Zechariah Stover. Members of the community: Thomas Yorz, Judith Post, John Williams, Rev. Christopher Rygalski, Douglas Thomson. Guest: Shiela Hayes Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by John Williams to accept October 2, 2023 minutes with one correction. The next meeting date should be corrected to November 6, 2023. Motion voted on and passed. Determination of Quorum: Quorum has been met. Correspondence: Letter from the Greeneville NRZ to the Norwich Fire Chief, Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police was read, regarding the use of unregistered fork lifts operating on North Main St. in Norwich. Old Business: Nominations/Elections: Motion made by Zechariah Stover to accept and vote on slate of officers as follows: Peter Procko-Chairman, Nancy Procko-Vice Chairman, Kathleen Strenkowski, Secretary. Motion was voted on and unanimously passed. Fall Cleanup: Peter to contact the Soup Kitchen to see if we can partner with them for Greeneville cleanup. Plant Containers: Seventeen requests received from Greeneville businesses by the NRZ for planters. Motion made by Nancy Procko and 2nd by Judith Post to pursue additional planters. Voted on and unanimously passed. Greeneville Playground: New playscapes are in place. Additonal landscape work is needed. The mural has been started. Current message board needs to be repaired or preferably replaced. Blight: Peter Procko has been in contact with the Norwich Blight Officer. Numerous areas of concern have been addressed. Email can be sent to the Blight Officer regarding areas of concern. New Business: Historical Diner may be coming to Greeneville. Adjournment: Motion made by Peter Procko and second by John Williams to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. Next meeting of the NRZ: December 11, 2023 at the Greeneville Fire House at 6:00 p.m. This change to the meeting date was unanimously agreed to.
