Jim thought this was a fair showing for this time of year. The Norwich Skating School will be attending the 20th annual District 1 competition this June 24 through the 27th. The Rink will be placing a bid for these championships for next year. This would be a great exposure for The Rink not to mention some much needed revenue. Bernie Cassell Hockey Skills Wednesday Night Clinics will begin on June 16th with mites and squirts from 6 to 6:15pm, peewees and bantams from 7 to 7:50 pm and the adults from 8 to 8:50pm. Bernie will also be holding a scoring clinic on June 26th that is sold out. On June 28th to the first of July, Bernie will hold his 1992 – 97 camp. There also was discussion that Bernie may hold a pre season camp for high school players after school. In August Bernie and The Rink will be operating a week long hockey camp for mites and Bantams. There are currently 20 players signed up and hopefully it will max out at 60. On August 14th there will be a checking clinic from 10 to 2pm. The possible coop between the NFA hockey team and the Saint Bernard’s hockey team was discussed but no one knew if it was going to happen this year. ƒ Budget The budget was reviewed and various line items were discussed. It was noted that the decrease in the figure skating numbers had a very negative impact on the budget this year. Jim said that many of the figure skating coaches impressed upon their students that more time should be spent on practice which utilized more ice. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40pm. Respectfully submitted, Doug Barlow
