NORWICH ICE RINK AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD May 16, 2013 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, Mike Goldblatt, Cheryl Ritacco, JoAnn Beguhl Absent: Stephanie Davis Guest: Shannon FitzGerald Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:00 pm, a quorum was present. Cheryl Rittaco made a motion to accept the minutes from the Emergency Meeting on May 7, 2013; Mike Goldblatt seconds the motion, which passed unanimously Public Comment from Bob Casagrande regarding the status of the rink moving forward New Business: Rink Closure: The Insurance Company has requested eddy current testing, which will determine the condition of the chiller tubes. No decisions can be made until the test results are back. A special meeting will be scheduled for May 21, 2013, the Authority will extend invitations to Jon Burley, from Everything Ice, Phil Sienna, from Conn College Ice Rink, and Gabe Stern, involved in original opening of the Norwich Ice Rink. Evacuation Plan: In the works with Fire Chief Pat Dailey RFP Responses: 4 responses were submitted Old Business: Child Protection Policy update: Tabled to have more time for review Authority Applications: Still open until the end of May Executive Session It was agreed that there was no business that warranted executive session.
