NORWICH ICE RINK AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD July 10th, 2013 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, Mike Goldblatt, Joann Beguhl, Stephanie Davis Absent: Cheryl Ritacco Guest: Shannon FitzGerald, Jeff Brining Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:24 pm, a quorum was present. Mike Goldblatt made a motion to move discussion of potential chiller rental agreement out of executive session; JoAnn Beguhl seconded it. There were no additional questions or comments; motion passed unanimously. Discussion took place about the rental chiller and the meeting with United Rental. JoAnn Beguhl makes a motion to proceed with the rental chiller and for Jeff Brining to put together the proposal from United Rental; Stephanie Davis seconded the motion. With no further discussion the motion passed unanimously. JoAnn Beguhl made a motion to authorize Pete Desaulniers to execute the chiller rental contract once it is to receive and to send the signed contract to the rest of the Authority; Mike Goldblatt seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Discussion took place on the following: Jeff Brining stated that NPU will inspect the dehumidifier to see if they could assist in that process. Facilities subcommittee is going to work on the O & M reporting phase Executive Session With a motion by Mike Goldblatt and seconded by Stephanie Davis, the meeting went in to executive session to review the Ice Rink Director of Operations applications. Mike Goldblatt made a motion to come out of executive session, JoAnn Beguhl seconds the motion. The motion passed unanimously. No votes were taken in executive session. The Director applicants were narrowed down as follows:   One application received did not meet the scope of the position  One applicant was submitted passed the specified deadline  Two applicants did not meet qualification expectations  Two applicants may be considered for different positions in the future  Four applicants will be interviewed for the position of Rink Director of Operations Interviews will be scheduled: August 6th at 7pm & 8pm August 8th at 7pm & 8pm August 13th at 7pm & 8pm for call backs if necessary With a motion by Mike Goldblatt and seconded by Stephanie Davis, the meeting was adjourned at 9:38 PM.
