NORWICH ICE ARENA AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD January 21, 2015 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, JoAnn Beguhl, Mark Bettencourt, Mike Goldblatt, Cheryl Ritacco, Angela Duhaime Not in Attendance: Gary Makowicki Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:13 pm, a quorum was present. Review of the Minutes from October 16, 2014: Cheryl Ritacco made a motion to approve the minutes from October 16, 2014 as submitted; Pete Desaulniers seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Review of the Minutes from November 20, 2014: JoAnn Beguhl made a motion to approve the minutes from November 20, 2014 as submitted; Angela Duhaime seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. There were no public comments. Correspondence: Pete Desaulniers presented one item of correspondence received via email. The correspondence was in regard to the status of punch cards. The issue is being researched through city hall. Guest: Shannon Fitzgerald Old Business Members of the Authority inquired on the status of the concessions and pro-shop. Shannon Fitzgerald reported that they were accepting proposals for the concessions but did not know a timeline for operation. The pro-shop is planned to be operating by the end of the first week in February. All in all, Shannon said there has been good feedback regarding the new renovations. New Business Pete Desaulniers shared a written request from Alderman Nash regarding a dedication of the bridge in honor of Thomas Guy Mazzarella. Motion: Cheryl Ritacco made a motion “to table the bridge dedication until the next Authority meeting” and JoAnn Beguhl seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously. Pete Desaulniers will forward the information via email on Thomas Guy Mazzarella for the members of the Authority to review for the next meeting. Approval of Expenses Mark Bettencourt made a motion to “approve the invoice in the amount of $80.00 for Eagle Leasing Company” and Cheryl Ritacco seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously. Angela will send the Authority schedule along with minutes from the meetings since January to Lisa at the Rose Garden Ice Arena.
