NORWICH ICE ARENA AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD August 19th, 2015 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, JoAnn Beguhl, Cheryl Ritacco, Gary Makowicki, Mark Bettencourt, Angela Duhaime Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:05 pm, a quorum was present. Review of the Minutes from July 15, 2015: Gary Makowicki made a motion to approve the minutes from July 15, 2015; JoAnn Beghul seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Public Comments There were no public comments. Correspondence Lisa Fedick sent an email correspondence to Pete Desaulniers providing an update on the pro shop and concession stand. The pro shop is now fully operational. The snack bar and concessions are expected to be operational for September 1st, 2015. Correspondence was also received regarding an unpaid bill for snow plowing services during the past winter. At this time there is currently no record on this unpaid service. Some record would need to be located in order to proceed with further action on this discrepancy. Old Business A. Cheryl Ritacco reported that she was unable to get further detail or course of action regarding liquidation of the items in storage. B. Pete will follow up regarding a response letter regarding the customer who inquired about their punch card. A response letter should be sent directly from the Ice Arena. New Business A. All financials and reports were reviewed. B. No expenses needed approval. C. Members from the Authority will be expecting end of year financial reports in September. According to the contract 5% of the expected gross income will be paid to the city. Questions regarding the financial reporting system arose particularly those affecting capital improvements. Pete will invite the City Comptroller and/or Deputy Comptroller to explain the process and terms to the September meeting. Update from Management Management was not able to be present for the meeting due to illness. With a motion by Mark Bettencourt and seconded by Cheryl Ritacco, the meeting was adjourned at 7:37pm.
