NORWICH ICE ARENA AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD May 18, 2016 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, JoAnn Beguhl, Mark Bettencourt, Cheryl Ritacco, and Gary Makowicki Absent: Tina Dempsey Guests: Tony Madeira, Lisa Fedick, and John Ferguson Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:03 pm, a quorum was present. Review of the Minutes from April 20, 2016: JoAnn Beguhl made a motion to approve the minutes; Cheryl Ritacco seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Public Comments There were no public comments. Correspondence Pete Desaulniers received a letter from the Superior Court of California. It has been forwarded to Tony Madeira to give to City Attorney, Mike Driscoll. Old Business Storage container leasing contract has been officially turned over the Norwich Skating Club. City owned skating equipment left over from the transition to RoseGarden Arena is being evaluated by RoseGarden management and an agreed upon value will be determined by May 20, 2016. RoseGarden will pay the city agreed amount. Status of 2014 Rink financials was discussed. Audit report still in process, items are being verified in particular public skate revenue tracking. Mark Bettencourt made a motion to move forward with audit issues regarding public skate revenue for 2014 that is acceptable with city officials. Seconded by Gary Makowicki, which was passed unanimously. Authority received copies of leases for Ice Arena pro shop and concession stand. JoAnn Beguhl made a motion for city attorney, Mike Driscoll to review lease contracts; seconded by Mark Bettencourt, which was passed unanimously. RoseGarden Arena has issued gift certificates for unused punch cards as indicated on city receivable report. New Business It has been confirmed that there is money in the 2016 capital budget for roof repair in the amount of $200,000 With a motion by Mark Bettencourt and seconded by JoAnn Beguhl, the meeting was adjourned at 8:03pm.
