Norwich Ice Arena Authority Regular Meeting The Norwich Municipal Ice Rink 641 New London Turnpike AGENDA January 16, 2019 6pm 1. Call to Order by Chairman Bettencourt at 6:25. 2. Determination of Quorum – All members were present as well as Shannon Fitzgerald from NRGIA. 3. Acceptance of Minutes from Previous Meeting- A motion to pass the minutes of the October 17, 2018 meeting was made by Gary Makowicki, seconded by Mark Sicuso and passed unanimously. 4. Public Comment - None 5. Correspondence – The authority reviewed Deputy Comptroller Tony Madeira’s emails regarding the lack of changes in receipt of audited records and reviewed the unaudited numbers that he has received. Joann Beguhl submitted a question the DC Madeira via email and received a response. 6. Business 1. Update and discussion regarding audits: Chairman Bettencourt will contact DC Madeira to see if the city would like the authority to take some kind of action regarding the failure to perform with audited financials. 2. Chairman Bettencourt will contact the Rec Department director and share Shannon’s contact information in the hope they can develop mutually beneficial programing. 3. There have been no further roof leaks since the last meeting. The gutters were apparently the problem and have been cleaned. 4. The long-delayed sound system should be installed by the end of January.  5. Maintenance contracts were received by authority for review back in October. 6. Mark Sicuso asked about the sign issue. He got a price of 1400 for the sign. Chairman Bettencourt will check with DC Madeira and make a budget request for funding in the spring. 7. Joann Beguhl noted that the next payment was due Jan 15th. If it is not received it should be requested. 7. Adjournment - There being no other business, a motion to adjourn was made by Gary Makowicki, seconded by Joann Beguhl and passed unanimously at 6:51pm.
