Norwich Ice Arena Authority Regular Meeting Minutes Norwich Municipal Ice Rink 641 New London Turnpike January 15, 2020 1. Call to Order: Chairman Mark Bettencourt called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. 2. Determination of a quorum: All members were present along with Shannon Fitzgerald, the RGIA manager. 3. Motion by Mark Sicuso, second by Gary Makowicki to approve the minutes from the October 16, 2019 meeting. Passed unanimously. 4. Public Comment – None 5. Correspondence – Received emails from Deputy Comptroller Madeira noting that the sign replacement would be complete within the next couple of weeks and reviewed communication regarding completion of the audits and possibly working out a plan for financial relief. Additionally, there is a question of who might be liable for the cost of some work that may be required. Member Joann Beguhl will reach out and be the POC with Tony on these issues. 6. Old Business – Discussion regarding lease terms and compliance with audits was completed during discussion of the correspondence was noted by the chair. 7. Anything else to be brought before the authority: Shannon Fitzgerald reported that the Eagles are using some ice time and that SECYH is bidding on some tournaments. She will transmit a preventative maintenance report next time National Refrigeration comes in.
