Norwich Ice Arena Authority Special Meeting Minutes Held Virtually via Zoom March 1, 2023 at 7pm 1. Call to Order – Meeting was called to order at 7:04pm via Zoom by Chairman Bettencourt. The chairman announced that the meeting was recorded, and all votes would be by roll call. 2. Determination of Quorum – All members and Deputy Comptroller Orla McKiernan and retired Deputy Comptroller Tony Madeira were present. 3. Acceptance of Minutes from Previous meeting – On motion by Mark Sicuso, seconded by Joann Beguhl and passed unanimously by roll call vote the minutes of March 16, 2022, were accepted as presented. 4. A motion to go into executive session to discuss lease negotiations with Orla McKiernan and Tony Madeira being asked to participate was made by Joann Beguhl, seconded by Gary Makowicki, and passed unanimously by roll call vote. 5. Chairman Bettencourt announced that the authority was coming out of Executive Session noting that no votes were taken. 6. A motion to forward lease extension terms to Corporation Counsel for incorporation into the lease agreement was made by Joann Beguhl, seconded by Mark Sicuso and passed unanimously by roll call vote. 7. The Chair noted another Special Meeting would be held regarding moving the condenser on March 9.
