Special Meeting Minutes October 16, 2023 CITY OF NORWICH INLAND WETLANDS, WATERCOURSES AND CONSERVATION COMMISSION Site Walk 0 Myrtle Drive NORWICH, CT A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Richard Morell called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM. B. ROLL CALL and SEATING of ALTERNATES: Present: Chairman Richard Morell, Brandon Hyde (arrived at 3:10), Douglas Lee and Peter Chalecki. Also Present: Dan Daniska, City Planner/Wetland Agent; Deanna Rhodes, Director of Planning and Neighborhood Development; David McKay, Boundaries, LLC. C. SITE WALK: IWWCC #23-05 – 0 Myrtle Drive Application for land disturbance activities within a regulated wetland and associated upland review area for preparation of a development pad for future construction. Application of Sammy P Inc. Property of Sammy Piotrkowski. Assessor’s Map 41. Block 1, Lots 5, 5.1, 5.2, 5.RD. Zone BP. David McKay of Boundaries, LLC. Provided an overview and guided site walk of the parcel, focusing on the intermittent watercourse, wetlands, vernal pool area, activities in the Upland Review Area, and direct impacts to Regulated Areas. As requested by Planning Department staff, all comments and questions were held for the Commission meeting to be held on November 2, 2023. K. ADJOURNMENT: Douglas Lee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 3:47 PM. Peter Chalecki seconded. Douglas Lee, Peter Chalecki, Brandon Hyde and Richard Morell voted in favor.
