Mohegan Park Improvement & Development Advisory Committee Thursday, November 14,2019 - 6:30 P.M. Norwich Public Works Conference Room 50 Clinton Ave Norwich,CT Regular Meeting DRAFT MINUTES 1. CALL TO ORDER Beryl Fishbone called the meeting to order at 6:30P.M. 2. CITIZEN COMMENT None. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. Minutes for the regular meeting held on September 12,2019 were read and a Motion was made by Rebecca Melucci Motion was seconded by Judy Magnano. And voted on Unanimously. 4. NEW BUSINESS a. The Idea of Designating Non-Smoking Areas within the park. Motion to not post signs at this time for Non-Smoking Areas within the Park until there is greater Public Interest in this matter. Motion by Sam Browning. Seconded by Rebecca Melucci and voted Unanimously by the Committee. 5. OLD BUSINESS. a. Dept of Public Works Report was presented by Pat McLaughlin 1. they were working on rehabbing the bathrooms before Spring . 2.They planned to lower the water level again before January to try to freeze off any invasive weeds. b. DISC GOLF UPDATE. Still in Fundraising Stage. c. FOOD TRUCK REPORT. No further news. d. SIGNAGE FOR THE PARK. Topics of What Signs are needed? Answer: To identify Key Locations Within the Park for 1st Time Visitors. And Where are Signs Needed? Answer: At the 5 Entry Points Into The Park. Pat McLaughlin stated that he planned to have a mockup of the signs to present at our next meeting on Jan 9th,2020. 6. OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE. NONE. 7. FINANCIAL REPORT . Presented and approved 8. ADDITIONS/CORRECTIONS. NONE. 9. ADJOURNMENT. Motion to Adjourn at 7P.M. by Rebecca Melucci and Seconded by Sam Browning and voted Unanimously by All. 10. Reminder: 2020 MPIDAC Meeting Schedule. All Meetings will be held on the Following Dates at 6:30P.M. at the Norwich Public Works Conference Room at 50 Clinton Ave Norwich,CT; NEXT MEETING January 9th, 2020 Meetings March 12th, May 14th, July 9th, Sept 10th, & Nov 12th.
