Motion made at the 10/15/2013 meeting to send John Cicarelli for an IME. Request from John Cicarelli to table the application until further notice. B. Legal opinion regarding the status of a disability pension, with regard to the determination that a disability no longer exists, as requested at the 9/17/2013 P&P Board meeting. The request was for Corporation Counsel to delineate between service connected and non-service connected disability pensions, service connected opinion received. IV. New Business A. Discussion of the 7/1/2013 Actuarial Valuation Report for the City of Norwich Retirement Plan with Tim Ryor of Hooker & Holcombe, Inc. B. Application(s) for retirement: 1. Diane Decker, Principal Clerk Stenographer – NPU, for a normal retirement eff 12/28/2013. C. Pension calculation(s): 1. James H Shackles III, who retired 11/30/2013, his pension is calculated for an annual amount of $20,514.11. His application for a normal retirement was approved at the 9/17/2013 meeting. 2. Carol Heller, who retired 11/30/2013, her pension is calculated for an annual amount of $17,269.40. Her application for a normal retirement was approved at the 11/19/2013 meeting. 3. Michael Belair, who retired 12/1/2013, his pension is calculated for an annual amount of $52,552.89. His application for a normal retirement was approved at the 10/15/2013 meeting. D. Application(s) for a refund and/or rollover of pension contributions: 1. Steven Way, rollover in the amount of $10,368.31 with interest (through 11/30/2013), who terminated effective 6/30/2009. E. Notification of death(s): 1. Walter Korenkiewicz Jr. (DOD 11/26/2013), who retired from NPU on 1/7/1993, no further benefit due. QDRO on file for Walter Korenkiewicz assigning 75% to alternate payee, Beverly Korenkiewicz. Per QDRO, benefits to alternate payee cease upon death of retiree. F. Notification of 2014 P&P Board meeting schedule. G. Election of vice-chair to the P&P Board. H. Discussion regarding updating of the Disability Verification Form. I.
