Minutes of the 3/4/2014 Special Personnel & Pension Board Meeting. III. Old Business A. Application from John Cicarelli, Mason, for a service connected disability retirement. Motion made at the 10/15/2013 meeting to send John Cicarelli for an IME. Request from John Cicarelli at the 11/19/2013 to table the application until further notice. Motion to send John for a follow-up IME along with a FCE made at the 1/9/2014 meeting. FCE scheduled for 2/24/2014, follow-up IME scheduled for 3/10/2014, re- scheduled to 4/7/2014. Will remain on agenda until results of the FCE and IME are presented. B. Discussion regarding interest currently charged on buybacks. Tabled from the 3/4/2014 Special meeting, awaiting a legal opinion. C. Request for a legal opinion regarding timeframe to purchase disability time. Tabled from the 3/4/2014 Special meeting, awaiting a legal opinion. IV. New Business A. Application(s) for retirement: 1. William Block, Purchasing Agent, for a normal retirement eff 7/8/2014. B. Pension calculation(s): 1. Patrick Mickens who retired 3/1/2014, his pension is calculated for an annual amount of $55,363.37. His application for a normal retirement was approved at the 3/4/2014 meeting. C. Request for payment approval of two Hooker & Holcombe, Inc. invoices. The first invoice is for completion of the 7/1/2013 actuarial valuation, the calculation of the actuarial determined contribution (ADC) for fiscal years 2015 and 2016, and the completion of benefit statements for the pension fund, in the amount of $15,000. The second invoice is for completion of the 7/1/2013 OPEB fund actuarial valuation and calculation of the ARC for fiscal years 2015 and 2016 in the amount of $14,960. D.
