I. Roll Call
Meeting called to order by Paul Schroder at 6:00 pm.

II. Minutes
A. Minutes of the November 17, 2015 Regular Personnel & Pension Board Meeting.
Motion to approve the November 21, 2015 Regular Personnel & Pension Board
meeting minutes made by John John, seconded by Scott Suplita, all in favor.
III. Old Business
A. Discussion regarding updating of the Disability Verification Form. Motion to review
updated sample form at the December meeting made at the November 17,2015 meeting.
Review and discussion of the form drafted by Brigid Marks. An addition to the
retirement application to add disability qualifications was suggested.
Motion to accept the Disability Verification Form as changed at this meeting and
update the Application for Retirement to include Disability Qualifications made by
Paul Schroder, seconded by John John, all in favor.
B. Discussion of rollover or withdrawal of pension contributions (plus interest) upon
resignation or termination of employment. Kevin Emerson researching state
escheatment laws. Motion to table to the December meeting made at the November 17,
2015 meeting.
Motion to table to the January 2016 meeting made by Shiela Hayes, seconded by
John John, all in favor.
IV. New Business
A. Applications for retirement:
1. William Morell, Chief Lineman-NPU, for a normal retirement effective 11/25/2015.
Motion to approve the application for retirement made by Peter Barber, seconded
by John John, all in favor.

3. Susan Goldman, Program Assistant, for a normal retirement effective 01/09/2016.
4. James Semmelrock, Meter Reader-NPU, for a normal retirement effective
04/09/2016.
5. George Gardner, Code Enforcement Officer, for a normal retirement effective
12/17/2016.
B. Pension calculations:
1. William Morell, retired 11/25/2015. His pension is calculated for an annual amount
of $90,028.19. His application for retirement to be approved at this meeting.
2. Brian Curtin, retired 12/01/2015, payable immediately. His pension is calculated for
an annual amount of $9,201.97. His application for a deferred retirement was
approved at the November 17, 2015 meeting.
C. Discussion of former employee deferred retirement pension.
D. Presentation of Hooker & Holcombe invoices for the Pension Plan and OPEB.
E. Employee(s) to be admitted into the City of Norwich Employees’ Retirement Fund:
