Meeting called to order by Paul Schroder at 6:00 pm.

II. Minutes
A. Minutes of the April 18, 2017 Combined Regular/Investment Personnel & Pension
Board Meeting.
Motion to approve the April 18, 2017 Personnel & Pension Board meeting minutes
made by Peter Barber,seconded by Shiela Hayes, all in favor.
III. Old Business
A Review refund policy for non-vested retirement fund participants. Tabled at the April
meeting for additional discussion at the May meeting.
Discussed the current policy adopted by the board at the May 2016 meeting and how
it affects the BOE employee lay-offs. Motion to revise the policy to "process refunds
up to 90 days to former non-vested employees and future non-vested employees that
leave city employment" made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Shiela Hayes, all in
favor.
IV. New Business
A Applications for retirement:
1. Michael McKinney,Police Officer,for a normal retirement effective May 14,2017.
2. Paula Furber, Paraeducator,for a deferred retirement effective June 17, 2017.
3. John Fusaro III, Senior Water Plant Operator-NPU, for a normal retirement
effective July 14,2017.
Motion to approve the applications for retirement made by Shiela Hayes, seconded
by Peter Barber, all in favor
B. Pension calculations:
1. Paul Tomczyk, retired April 26, 2017. His pension is calculated for $54,533.12
annually. His application for retirement was approved at the March 2017 meeting.
2. Harry Sewart, retired May 2, 2017. His pension is calculated for $$30,145.16. His
application for retirement was approved at the April 2017 meeting.
Motion to approve the pension calculation made by John John,seconded by Shiela
Hayes, all in favor.
