Motion to approve the March 12,2020 meeting minutes made by Shiela Hayes,seconded by Rich MoreUi, all in favor. III. New Business A. Reappointment of Shiela Hayes to the Board. Motion to acknowledge the re-appointment of Shiela made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Chris Goals, all in favor. B. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair. Motion to elect Shiela Hayes as Vice-Chair made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Nate Kannas, all in favor. Motion to re-elect Paul Schroder as Chair made by Shiela Hayes, seconded by Nate Kannas,all in favor. C. Applications for Retirement: 1. Christopher Callaway,Police Lieutenant,for a normal retirement effective May 2,2020. 2. Linda Smith, Administrative Specialist,for a normal retirement effective May 9,2020. 3. Lynn DePina,Preschool Director-BOE,for a normal retirement effective July 1, 2020. 4. Andre Rosedale. Police Officer,for a normal retirement effective February 11,2021. Motion to approve the applications for retirement made by Shiela Hayes, seconded by Rich Morelli, all in favor. D. Pension Calculations: 1. Kim Pepas,retired January 28,2020. Her annual pension is calculated for $13,146.93. Her application was approved at the November 2019 meeting. 2. Scott Suplita, retired February 15,2020. His annual pension is calculated for $49,138.69. Griselda Rodriguez,retired February 15,2020. Her annual pension is calculated for $17,770.09, payable July 28,2038. Her deferred retirement was approved at the February 2020 meeting. 4. Sandra Kuchta,retired February 15,2020. Her annual pension is calculated for $9,490.87, payable April 30,2026. Her deferred retirement was approved at the February 2020 meeting. 5. James Troeger, retired February 20,2020. His annual pension is calculated for $57,157.59. His application was approved at the February 2020 meeting. 6. Denise Ambum,retired February 29,2020. Her annual pension is calculated for $36,234.90. Her application was approved at the January 2020 meeting. 7. Jarrell Roberts, retired March 3,2020. His annual pension is calculated for $32,907.97. His application was approved at the January 2020 meeting. 8. Christopher Callaway,retired May 2,2020. His annual pension is calculated for $75,569.82. His application is on the agenda at this meeting. 9. Linda Smith,retired May 9,2020. Her annual pension is calculated for $34,366.91. Her application is on the agenda at this meeting. Motion to approve the pension calculations made by Shiela Hayes,seconded by Nate Kaunas,all in favor. D. Applications for refund/roUover of pension contributions 1. Donna Fenter,Paraeducator-BOE, who withdrew effective January 31,2020. Refund of $6,566.85 including interest. 2. Stefanie Montejano,Paraeducator-BOE, who withdrew effective March 12,2020. Refimd of $8,621.52 including interest. Motion to accept the refund application made by Shiela Hayes,seconded by Rich Morelli, all in favor. E. Request from Acting Chief Wucik to extend the Firefighter eligibility list for one year. Motion to extend the Firefighter eligibility list for one year made by Shiela Hayes, seconded by Rich MoreUi,all in favor. F. Notification of Death: 1. Jane Barry,DOD February 16,2020,surviving spouse of David Barry who retired from NPU on May 7,1996. No further benefit due. 2 Jean Gauvin,DOD May 1,2020,DRO recipient of Rene Sylvestre who retired from NPU on February 1,2003. No obituary, notified by husband on May 8,2020 and verified with Social Security records. No further benefit due. 3. Peter Bialowas,DOD May 8,2020,who retired from the Fire Department on September 7,1975. No further benefit due. Invoice from Milliman for the actuarial valuation as of July 1,2019 per schedule set forth in RFP. Motion to approve payment of Milliman's July 1,2019 invoice made by Shiela Hayes, seconded by Nate Kannas,all in favor. H. Invoice from Ryan & Ryan LLC in the amount of $350. The outsourcing of legal services without the prior consent of the Board was discussed. Requestfrom Sandra Pimentel to rescind the deferred General City retirement for Sandra Kuchta on the agenda to be approved. She is to be re-admitted to the fund as a BOE participant at this meeting effective February 18, 2020. J. Request from Sandra Pimentel to rescind the deferred General City-NPU retirement for Griselda Rodriguez on the agenda to be approved. She is to be re-admitted to the fimd as a BOE participant at this meeting effective February 18,2020.
