Motion to accept the June 18, 2024 minutes made by Mike Dziavit, seconded by Chris Golas, all in favor. III. New Business A. Memo from Joshua Pothier, Comptroller, Trustee and Custodial Services Orla Mckiernan-Raftery, Deputy Comptroller and Marc Shegoski from UBS, provided the P&P Board members a brief explanation of the problem with Comerica our current trustee and custodian of the Penson and OPEB funds. Both Orla and Marc explained the difficulty they are having using Comerica statements to summarize investment activities, the recording of information in our accounting system and to provide information to auditors and actuaries. Comptroller proposed that the P&P Board approve the issuance of a request for proposals (RFP) for trustee and custodial safekeeping services. Motion made by Paul Schroder to approve Josh Pothier City Comptroller’s proposal to issue a RFP for trustee and custodial service in order to replace Comerica, seconded by Mike Dziavit, all in favor. B. City Council appointment of Patrick McMahon – Alternate Member to the P&P Board. Paul Schroder acknowledged appointment of Patrick McMahon by the City Council. C. Review of CY2023 service-connected disability outside earnings report. Board members reviewed and discussed outside earnings report for CY023. Motion to adjust/reduce Peter F. Casey’s annual pension to $ 23,048.09 from $ 25,651.68, seconded by Mike Dziavit, all in favor. Motion to suspend/stop William Nash pension benefit made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Mike Dziavit, all in favor. D. Application for retirement: 1. Jason Calouro, Police Detective, for a normal retirement effective August 17, 2024. 2. Marilyn Feliciano Rivera, Paraeducator, for a normal retirement effective August 30, 2024. 3. Harrison J. Formiglio, Police Sergeant, for a normal retirement effective July 17, 2024. This is a revised application changing retirement date from July 02, 2024 to July 17, 2024, which was approved on the May 21, 2024 meeting. 4. Suzanne Lozada, Paraeducator, for a deferred retirement effective August 28, 2024 payable immediately. 5. Christopher Merrill, Police Lieutenant, for a normal retirement effective August 2, 2024. Motion to adjust/correct Chritopher Merrill retirement date to July 17, 2024 made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Mike Dziavit, all in favor. 6. Corey Poore, Deputy Police Chief, for a normal retirement effective June 29, 2024. 7. Monique Riccitelli, Police Officer, for a normal retirement effective July 17, 2024. 8. Mathew Schepp, Sr. Maintenance Mechanic, for a deferred retirement effective March 23, 2024 payable March 29, 2037. Motion to approve retirement applications made by Bob Pounch, seconded by Patrick McMahon, all in favor. E. Pension Calculations: 1. Thomas Armstrong, Fire, retired June 30, 2024. His annual pension calculation is $ 50,583.60. His application was approved at the June 18, 2024 meeting. 2. Scott E. Belleville, Fire, retired June 19, 2024. His annual pension calculation is $ 56,558.08. His application was approved at the June 18, 2024 meeting. 3. Edna Kuzia, Asst. to the Treasurer, retired July 6, 2024. Her annual pension calculation is $32,274.72 with a 50% joint & survivor benefit reducing her pension to $30,241.41. Her application was approved at the April 16, 2024 meeting. 4. Brigid K. Marks, Human Resource Director, retired June 11, 2024. Her pension calculation is $68,196.79. Her application was approved at the May 21, 2024 meeting. 5. Patrick McLaughlin, Public Works Director, retired July 17, 2024. His pension calculation is $52,045.40 with a 90% joint & survivor benefit reducing his pension to $46,840.86. His application was approved at the April 16, 2024 meeting. 6. Corey Poore, Deputy Police Chief, retired June 29, 2024. His annual pension calculation is $ 96,629.21. His application is on the agenda at this meeting. 7. Notification of new pension benefit due to a Domestic Relations Order payable to Jana Zoellner effective June 29, 2024. Her annual amount is $34,761.48. Mr. Poore’s pension will be reduced to $61,867.73. 8. Mathew Schepp, Sr. Maintenance Mechanic, retired March 23, 2024. His annual pension calculation is $39,953.66. His application is on the agenda at this meeting. Motion to approve the pension calculations made by Bob Pounch, seconded by Chris Golas, all in favor. F. Applications for refund/rollover of pension contributions: 1. David Allen, Residency Specialist - BOE, who terminated effective June 30, 2024 Refund of $12,352.33 including interest. 2. Jennifer Harris, 12 Month Secretary - BOE, who terminated effective April 10, 2024. Refund of $9,810.68 including interest. Request from Patrick McLaughlin, former Public Works Director, to extend the Truck, Auto & Equip. Mechanic eligibility list for one (1) year. The list expires September 05, 2024. Paul Schroder and board members discussed the letter and voted not to act on the request at this time. Motion made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Bob Pounch, all in favor. 2. Letter from Mrs. Brosofske dated August 2, 2024. The board members discussed the content of Ms. Brosofske’s letter. The letter asked the P&P Board for an increase in pension for her husband Raymond. Paul Schroder and board members discussed the letter and voted not to act on the request at this time. Motion made by Paul Schroder, seconded by Mike Dziavit, all in favor. 3.
