2 CITY OF NORWICH NORWICH PUBLIC PARKING COMMISSION The following are the minutes of the regular meeting of the Public Parking Commission held at 5: 00 p.m., January 13, 2015 at the Buckingham Memorial Building. PRESENT: Mr. Alan Bergren, Mr. Jeff Lord, Mr. William Nash (arrived late),Mr. Sean Ryan And Mr. Terell Wilson. ABSENT: Ms. Olive Buddington and Mr. Pete Desaulniers ALSO ATTENDING: Mr. Robert Mills, NCDC Mr. Lord called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm, noting a quorum was present. PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Mills stated that his agency is working on parking maps and brochures and will continue to offer support as needed. MINUTES: On a motion made by Mr. Ryan, second by Mr. Lord, the Commission voted to accept the minutes of the November 18, 2014 meeting as submitted. The vote was unanimous. MINUTES NPPC MEETING 01/13/2015  2 FINANCIAL REPORTS & BILLS TO BE PAID: A motion was made by Mr. Bergren, second by Mr. Wilson to accept the financial reports and accounts payable reports for: November & December 2014 The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: ELECTION OF OFFICERS: A motion was made by Mr. Wilson, second by Mr. Ryan to table the election until the March meeting. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT: Ms. Rizzuto provided the Commission members with a copy of the minutes from the subcommittee meeting, held on December 2, 2014. The Commission was asked for their input relative to “street markings”. Mr. Ellison, director of Public Works, asked at the December meeting that we create “standards” for street markings. This would remove any confusion for all parties involved when markings are required. The Commission agreed with Mr Ellison’s suggestion that No Parking Zones be indicated with a 2 foot crosshatch from the curb, with No Parking stenciled parallel to the crosshatch. This information will be forwarded to the subcommittee. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made to adjourn by Mr. Ryan, second by Mr. Bergren, voted on and passed unanimously.
