1 CITY OF NORWICH NORWICH PUBLIC PARKING COMMISSION The following are the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Public Parking Commission held at 5: 00 PM, January 14, 2020 at the Intermodal Transportation Center. PRESENT: Ms. Stacy Gould, Mr. Jeff Lord, Mr. William Nash, Mr. Derell Wilson ABSENT: Mr. John Salomone & Mr. Sean Ryan ALSO: Mr. Patrick McLaughlin, Director of Public Works Mr. Lord called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm, noting a quorum was present. PUBLIC COMMENT: NONE MINUTES: A motion was made by Mr. Nash, second by Mr. Lord, to accept the minutes of the November 19, 2019 regular meeting. Attending members voted unanimously to accept the minutes. FINANCIAL REPORTS & BILLS TO BE PAID: A motion was made by Mr. Nash, second by Mr. Lord to accept the financial reports and accounts payable reports for November & December 2019. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. MINUTES NPPC REGULAR MEETING 01/14/2020  2 “ROUNDABOUT” PRESENTATION: Mr. Patrick McLaughlin, Director of Public Works, was in attendance to give the members a brief presentation of the planned roundabout in Franklin Square. A preliminary design indicates that although on street parking will be reduced, parking spaces in the downtown area will be increased. This will be accomplished through use of angled parking in the City Landing and Bath Street areas. Roundabout construction is planned to begin in the Spring of 2020 with an expected completion date of late Summer 2020. ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE THE COMMISSION: Commission members were provided a report of SEAT bus ticket sales for the year ending 12/31/2019. It was for informational purposes only, no action required. ADJOURNMENT: Having no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Mr. Nash, second by Mr. Lord, to adjourn the meeting. Voted on and passed unanimously. Meeting was adjourned at 5:14 pm.
