CITY OF NORWICH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS April 16, 2018 TO: City Clerk FROM: Director of Public Works FILE #: PWD 053-18 SUBJECT: MINUTES OF PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE DRAFT The regular meeting of the Public Works and Capital Improvements Committee was held on Monday, April 16, 2018 in the conference room at the Public Works Headquarters, 50 Clinton Avenue. Attendance was as follows: Committee Members Administration Alderwoman Stacy Gould Patrick J. McLaughlin, City Engineer Alderman Sam Browning Deanna Rhodes, City Planner Mayor Peter Nystrom 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:05 a.m. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Meeting minutes of the March 20, 2018 were unanimously approved. (Motion: Nystrom, Second: Browning). 3. CITIZEN COMMENT: None 4. OLD BUSINESS: A. Plaques and Monuments Nothing at this time. B. Public Works Projects Updates Update by Pat McLaughlin regarding various projects.  Pleasant Street Bridge project being awarded to Arborio Corporation, Pre- Construction meeting April 20th.  ADA Ramp project awarded to Clover Construction.  Annual paving work being delayed slightly because of weather. Mayor Nystrom requests adding Forest St. to the list of roads to be paved, as a new business is opening up at the end of the street and the road is in very poor condition. C. Alice Street Resolution is with Corporation Council for review. There have been discussions with Public Works.
