CITY OF NORWICH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS January 22, 2019 TO: City Clerk FROM: Director of Public Works FILE #: PWD 013-19 SUBJECT: MINUTES OF PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE The meeting of the Public Works and Capital Improvements Committee was held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the conference room at the Public Works Headquarters, 50 Clinton Avenue. Attendance was as follows: Committee Members Administration Mayor Peter Nystrom Ryan E. Thompson, Director Alderwoman Stacy Gould Robin Dauda, Recording Secretary Alderman Sam Browning Other Norwich Public Utilities – Jeff Brining 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:03 a.m. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Meeting minutes of the December 17, 2018 meeting were unanimously approved. (Motion: Gould, Second: Browning). 3. CITIZEN COMMENT: None 4. OLD BUSINESS: A. Public Works Projects Updates • Vehicle wash building is complete and operational. A price for entities around the city to utilize the building to recover costs has been discussed with Josh Pothier • The transfer station scale specifications are complete and is now with the purchasing agent. • Indian Springs/Hill roads- Mayor Nystrom and Sam Browning have in total heard from two out of four property owners. Mayor Nystrom will send a final letter to the property owners with a final reply date to determine whether or not
