MINUTES OF THE REHABILITATION REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING September 10 , 2014 9:15 AM Members Present: Rodney Bowie, Jim Troeger, Joe East, & Gary Evans Absent: Jim Roberts & Terell Wilson Others Present: Wayne Sharkey and Jacquie Barbarossa, Recording Secretary Chairman Rodney Bowie called the Rehab Review Committee meeting to order at 9:30 AM. A quorum was determined. Rodney Bowie asked for approval of August 13, 2014 Meeting Minutes. Motion was made by Jim Troeger and seconded by Gary Evans to accept the minutes – unanimous . Old Business – none New Business – Gary Evans stated that the Community Development Office had a successful audit with HUD in the past week. He stated that he and Wayne visited a couple of properties with HUD that had either been renovated or were going to be. He also congratulated the staff on a job well done. Application Approvals/Denials/De-obligation of Funds Wayne Sharkey provided members present with 3 Property Rehabilitation/Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Program applications recommended for approval and stated that the applicants met eligibility requirements and taxes were current. The applications were as follows: Project Application Number of Lead Rehab type units Award Award LP1250/RP 1343 Owner 1 $16,000.00 $15,000.00 LP1251/RP 1344 Owner 1 $16,000.00 $15,000.00 LP1252/RP 1345 Owner 1 $16,000.00 $15,000.00 Joe East made a motion to approve the applications, second by Jim Troeger – unanimous all applications APPROVED . Appeals/ Requests - None Final Payments - None Open Discussion – There was a brief discussion regarding single family units versus multi-family units enrolling in the program.
