Seated were, Marc Benjamin, Joseph Jacaruso, Dorothy Travers, Henry
Olender, and Paul Kramarewicz.
Ms. Craig entered into the record as Exhibit “A”, the application, as “B”,
public notices of 02/25/09 & 03/04/09; as “C”, abutters’ notices; as “D”,
Assessor’s street card; as “E”, GIS map; and as “F”, applicant’s sketch.
Speaking in favor of the application was Daniel Malchman of 45 Royal
Oaks Drive, Norwich. He told the Board that the City and State Fire Marshals
require the proposed fire escape. The same person owns the property that abuts
this property. Mr. Malchman stated there was a fire escape there years ago where
an existing door is and it had deteriorated so this would be a replacement and the
only logical place to rebuild it.
There being no other speakers, the public hearing was closed.
