Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary. Application for signage Board Discussion: Application for signage above storefront with projecting blade sign. Discussion regarding blade and text placement. Agreed to add a blue border/molding framing the text of the wall portion of the signage.Applicant changed letter projection from 3/8” to ½”. Public Comment: None present. Conclusion: Application approved as submitted with addition of blue border/molding frame. Motion by Chair Steinhorst, 2nd by member Robertson. Applicant presented vinyl siding samples and brochures. Mix of clapboard and shingle styles. Clapboard on sides and backof residence, shingles on front. Will be adding stone veneer around foundation. Presented brochure on stone to be used. White trim to be added.Existing decorative triangles at eaverake boards will be scraped and painted and restored. Public Comment: None present. Application for storefront modifications Application presented by: Sara Murray of Dominick Pilla Associates Board Discussion: Application is for changing curved glazing and glass entrance to flat glazed frontage. Changing façade and entries (both apt and store) from aluminum framing to dark bronze colored with new Azek trim and panels. Will remove canopy. Apartment entrance is period wood door, store entrance door is modern style with dark bronze aluminum rails and stiles with single pane.Trim around apt. door and below windows areraised wood panels. Discussion centered aroundglazing extrusion profiles presented are too modern and should reflecttraditional Victorian profile appearance consistent with the style of the green apartment entrance door,and the recessed paneling trim depicted in the photo submitted. Public Comment: None present. Motion by member Mills, 2nd by SteinhorstApproved by 3-0 vote 4. 20 Tallman Ave: Application for an addition and alterations, expand deck, install lift and add balcony off bedroom. Application presented by: Barbara Howard Board Discussion: Application is for the addition of a2 storylift (elevator) with the elevator tower on the exterior of the building. Drawings show multiple additions and alterations including expansion of a 2nd story room and the addition of an open porch over an existing enclosed porch. The drawings of the 2nd floor expansion did not have the roof drawn correctly. Consequently, since there are various possible designs for this roof, the board could not further comment on this area of the project. The new balcony should have the same decorative brackets (where columns meet roof) to match front porch. Public Comment: None present.
