Public Comment: • No public comments. 2. Review of the September 12, 2022, Meeting Minutes: • Approved as written 3. Marina Business Plan from Paul Sorenson BST Associates - Update Mr. Hulett introduced the agenda item and Mr. Sorenson gave a presentation on national new boating trends, Island County boat registrations and Oak Harbor Marina demographics. He explained that this was just the beginning and that he would have other presentations for the MAC. He also said that he should have the business plan completed in December. Mr. Sorenson also explained that he would like to meet with all of the MAC members and Mr. Skubi individually. Discussion The MAC discussed the presentation and some of the trends that Mr. Sorenson had explained. Each of the MAC members asked if the presentation could be emailed to them. Action No action was taken 4. Parks & Recreation Department - Update Mr. Hulett introduced the agenda item and Mr. Sublet explained that the City had created a Parks & Recreation Department which will include the Parks Division, The Center and the Marina. He also explained that his hope was that the marina may be eligible for more grants under the Parks & Recreation title compared to just the marina title. Mr. Sublet also explained that the City as in the process of hiring a Parks & Recreation Director and that the costs associated with this new position would be split between the three divisions. Discussion The MAC briefly discussed the new Parks & Recreation Department and what some of the grant possibilities may be. Action No action was taken. 5. General Update • Mr. Sublet gave an update on the following: o The open MAC position o The launch ramp float o Dredging o Seasonal hires 6. MAC Comments • There were not any comments. 7.
