SPECIAL MEETING OAKDALE CITY COUNCIL May 4, 2020 ATTENDANCE A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Oakdale was held on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Oakdale City Hall, 1584 Hadley Avenue, Oakdale, Minnesota. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Reinke at 5 PM. Present: Mayor Paul Reinke Council Members: Jake Ingebrigtson Susan Olson Colleen Swedberg Kevin Zabel Also Present: Craig Dawson, Interim City Administrator Jim Thomson, City Attorney CITY ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT DISCUSSION The City Council considered the terms of employment for the preferred city administrator candidate, as communicated by Sharon Klumpp of the Baker Tilly executive search firm. The City Council identified its desired modifications to a proposed agreement and directed Interim City Administrator Dawson to forward them to Ms. Klumpp, subject to review of a draft of his email, to her by noon, Tuesday, May 6. City Attorney Thomson will draft the agreement. OTHER BUSINESS The City Council discussed processes for appointing a new fire chief and considerations for the deputy fire chief position over the next several months.
