Certificates of Appropriateness Attachments: Staff Report Photos Application Deed Master Site FIle Planner II, Breah Miller provided a brief overview of the request for an addition of a hitching post to the front yard. Erin Schlichter, 1027 SE 5th Street, Ocala, FL, said that when she installed the gate for the fence a solar panel was needed to open and close the gate and she thought the hitching post looked better because it matches the fencing and the solar panel can not be placed near the gate. Staff Comments Ms. Miller said there was possibly going to be a fee for certificates of appropriateness due to the influx of code cases. She also mentioned that the Certified Local Government Program (CLG) sent an email about the best practices for the Historic Board and shared the information to the Board. Mr. Holmes said the City of Ocala will be having a public meeting for Traffic in the southeast district on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30 pm in the IHMC Building. 9.
