Call to Order The Planning Commission Public Hearing was called to order by Eliot Perkins on 2020-02-23, at 6:31 p.m. Secretary for Meeting Ryan Somma took minutes for the meeting. 2. Citizen Comments Rod Loges said he was sorry to see capitulation of Town to the Mill at Occoquan and that he would be volunteering to be member of the Planning Commission. 3. Approval of Minutes January 20, 2021 and January 26, 2021 Ryan Somma motioned to approve the minutes. Ann Kisling seconded. The motion carried. 4. Discussion Items a. Comprehensive Plan Review/Update Eliot Perkins noted that the Town did a full review of the Comprehensive Plan five years ago, and that it does not make sense to do a complete overhaul. Each Commissioner will take a portion of the plan to update with Anne Kisling taking 4 and 5, Ryan Somma 6 and 7, Darryl Hawkins 8, and Eliot Perkins 9. Commissioners noted that updating the plan marks progress the Town has made on many items. b. Planning Commission Priorities Update ▪ Beautification, Town entrances, streetscaping ▪ Parking and Traffic Eliot Perkins noted that time parking starts on March 1st, and that PC members should be prepared to answer questions and field frustrations from citizens. Bring things to attention of Town Staff to improve the program. ▪ Strategic Relationship Building Eliot Perkins said he will meet with Rep Boddye about North Woodbridge Town Center and get a seat at the table for Occoquan. Asked Commissioners to research and write reports on new developments in the area. Ryan Somma agreed to take the Alpine X development. Eliot Perkins took the North Woodbridge Town Center. 9. Chair/Town Council Report Chairperson Perkins said the Mill at Occoquan developer came before Town Council and indicated he will be building a parking garage with 156 parking spots and two 1500 square foot retail fronts. This development would require its own site plans and approval process. The Town is working with Ebenezer for additional paid parking. 10.
