Citizen’s Comments - None 2. Approval of Minutes 1. June 28, 2022 Meeting Minutes – Brenda made a motion to accept, Darryl 2nd, Approved 2. July 7, 2022 Subcommittee Meeting Minutes – Brenda made a motion to accept, Cindy 2nd, Approved 3. Exterior Elevation Applications 1. ARB2022-011 – 202 Washington Street - Wood siding was replaced with same size & profile as original but vinyl. Owner was unable to replace with the identical color siding as it was unavailable and said he didn’t realize he needed ARB approval. New color has a slightly more gray tint than original because it had been painted by the previous owner. White trim is the same color as original. Work has been completed. Lori made a motion to accept, Darryl 2nd, Approved. 4. Reports 1. Town Council Report - Cindy said that solar panel facilities were discussed and will be voted on at the next Council meeting. 2. Town Manager’s Report – No report. 3. Planning Commission Report - The Planning Commission had a public hearing about the solar panel ordinance. Enough good questions were raised that the Planning Commission will be taking another look at it. 4. Chair Report - Solar Facility sub-committee met and came up with recommendations for the Design Guidelines. The word “inconspicuous” should be included in the guidelines. Solar facilities require a building permit so residents won’t be able to get one without zoning approval. Prince William County has existing regulations and would refer applicants to the zoning board in Occoquan before issuing a permit. Brenda recommends disbanding the sub-committee and will draft a brief statement pertaining to solar facilities based on research and discussion by the subcommittee. Brenda will include mention of sky lights in the guidelines as needing ARB approval. 5. Adjournment - 8:16 pm  ARB2022-012 TOWN OF OCCOQUAN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD APPLICATION FOR EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS Commercial and Residential Exterior Improvements Within the Old and Historic District All exterior changes and modifications to the exterior of structures located within the Old and Historic District must be reviewed by the Architectural Review Board (ARB) for issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) prior to the work being performed. Applicants should review the Architectural Review Board Design Guidelines for guidance of appropriate colors, materials, designs, etc. The ARB meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Applications must be filed at Town Hall by close of business on the Tuesday of the week prior to the meeting. Applicants must submit supplemental materials at time of application.
