Introductions Eric Noble Roll Call by Eric Noble - Attendance Eric Noble, Rick Winningham, Nancy Eldridge, Diane Solem and Pat Brunstad Public Comments: Don Williams Concern of meeting not posted properly and wondering if there would need to be a budget amendment regarding funding changes. Jim Donahoe Concerned that the City will not celebrate the City’s 50th Anniversary Presentation of LTAC requests: Roundup Square Inc.- promoter would like to make Super Hero Music Fest an annual event. Expected attendance is a few thousand. Request is for $11,000. Grays Harbor Youth Athletics – promotor requesting funds of $5,000. Ocean Shores Fresh Waterways Corp. – requested funds in the amount of $1,650 for advertisement for the Paddle-the- Shores event held at Oyhut Bay. Pat Brunstad then offered to cover the cost of advertising, as it is held at his facility. Ocean Shores Marketing Coop – promotor requested $36,751 to market the City’s 50th anniversary as well as the city businesses. Olympic Culinary Loop – It was discussed that for $2,000 they would show the restaurants in Ocean Shores on the loop brochure. Coastal Interpretive Center – requested funds in the amount of $60,000, for operational costs for their 2020 budget. The Center stated that they are working on expansion. Ocean Shores Convention Center – requested $144,386 for marketing and promotion. Ocean Shores Convention Center – requested $10,000 for the Visitor Information Center. These funds would be used for economic development and funding the weekend information person. Ocean Shores Convention Center – requested funds for the Sand and Sawdust event in the amount of $10,000. Ocean Shores Convention Center – requested funds in the amount of $10,000 to cover expenses related to the Razor Clam Festival. Ocean Shores Convention Center – requested funds in the amount of $10,000 to cover expenses related to the Hog Wild Ocean Shores event. Discussion: 2. Page 5 of 7 The Beginning Fund Balance $16,904 2020 H/M Budget Tax Revenue $960,000 Less: 2020 Ending fund Balance $75,690 Total Funds Available $ 901,214 Convention Center Requests: CC Debit Payment to 206 Fund $220,000 CC Operations $573,411 CC Repairs and Maintenance Reserve $72,000 Total convention Center Request $865,411 for Debt, Operations, Repairs and Maintenance Total Remaining $35,803 The recommendations are as follows: Roundup Square - receives $10,000 of their request for $11,000 Grays Harbor Youth Athletics - receives $5,000 or their request for $5,000 Ocean Shores Fresh Waterways Corp. – receives $0 due to the offer from Pat Brunstad to cover the cost, as it is held at Oyhut Bay. Ocean Shores Marketing Coop – receives $10,000 of their request for $36,751 Olympic Culinary Loop – receives $2,000 of the requested $2,000 Coastal Interpretive Center– request denied.
