City of Oconomowoc Finance Committee Meeting Minutes August 17, 2021 - 5:20 PM Aldermen Present: Matt Mulder, Matt Rosek, Karen Spiegelberg Also Present: Robert Magnus, Matt Trebatoski, Diane Coenen, Tony Posnik, Laurie Sullivan, James Pfister, Ivan Lam, Kevin Freber, Scott Osborn, Jason Gallo, Mark Frye, Robert Duffy, Mary Moresco, Lou Kowieski, John Zapfel, Kevin Ellis, Charles Schellpeper Chairman Mulder called the Finance Committee Meeting to order at 5:33 PM. Call to order and confirmation of appropriate meeting notification Committee Business a. Discussion Regarding 2021 Public Fire Protection Payment Sullivan gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Utility budget shortfall due to the Public Fire Protection fee not taking affect as was planned for in the 2021 budget. The shortage is $542,664. She outlined three options to cover the shortage and the Committee consensus was to use Option 3. Sullivan also reported that the Finance Dept. will start providing a quarterly narrative report to Council on budget shortages, etc. to keep Council updated on issues. b. Consider/recommend Approving Adjustment for Purchase Order 12283 for Gas and Diesel Expenses Motion to recommend approving adjustment for Purchase Order 12283 for gas and diesel expenses made by Rosek and seconded by Spiegelberg. Motion carried 3-0-0. c. Consider/recommend Authorizing the WLFD Chief to Work with Motorola to Upgrade the City's Portable Radios Motion to recommend authorizing the WLFD Chief to work with Motorola to upgrade the City's portable radios made by Rosek and seconded by Spiegelberg. Motion carried 3-0-0. d. Consider/act on July 2021 Voucher Report Motion to approve the vouchers in the amount of $3,877,044.92 made by Rosek and seconded by Mulder. Motion carried 3-0-0. Adjourn Motion to adjourn made by Mulder and seconded by Spiegelberg. Motion carried 3-0-0.
