May 21, 2019
Chairman Shaw called the meeting to order at 7:26 PM.
Members Present: Aldermen Shaw, Spiegelberg and Rogers
Staff Present: Mayor Nold, Kitsembel, Frye, Duffy, and Dehnert
Others Present: Alds. Zwart, Ellis, Kowieski, Strey, Spiegelberg and Rogers, and Atty. Riffle
2. Consider/recommend Granting a 6 Month “Class B” License to the Oconomowoc area Baseball
Club:
Dehnert reported the City has received an application for a six-month Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage
license from Oconomowoc Area Baseball Club to sell fermented malt beverages at Roosevelt Field located
at 630 S. Main St. OABC sells concessions throughout the baseball season and is looking to operate from
May until the end of their scheduled game season. The applicant meets all Chapter 12 Licensing
requirements.
Motion by Spiegelberg to recommend granting a six-month Class “B” License to OABC; second by Rogers.
Motion carried 3-0.
Motion by Shaw to adjourn; second by Spiegelberg. Motion carried 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:27 PM.

Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council will be present at the above scheduled
meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-making responsibility.
This constitutes a meeting of the Common Council pursuant to State ex rel. Badke v. Greendale Village
Board, 173Wis. 2d 553, 494 N.W. 2d 408 (1993) and must be noticed as such, although the Common
Council will not take any formal action at this meeting.

BACKGROUND
The City has received an application for a six (6) month Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage license from
Oconomowoc Area Baseball Club, Neal Ninmann, Agent, to sell fermented malt beverages at Roosevelt Baseball
Field located at 630 S. Main Street. The Baseball Club sells concessions throughout the baseball season and is
looking to operate starting in May until the end of their scheduled game season. The applicant meets all Chapter
12 and State licensing requirements.

Protection & Welfare Recommendation: Move to recommend granting a six-month Class “B” Fermented Malt

Beverage license to Oconomowoc Area Baseball Club.

RESOLUTION GRANTING SIX (6) MONTH CLASS “B”
FERMENTED MALT BEVERAGE LICENSE TO OCONOMOWOC AREA BASEBALL CLUB
WHEREAS, the application for the following new six (6) month license has been made,
necessary fees deposited and all legal procedures have been taken, as per ordinance of the
City of Oconomowoc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oconomowoc
that the following six (6) month license be granted:
Class “B” Fermented Malt License
(sell and serve fermented malt beverages)
Oconomowoc Area Baseball Club
630 S. Main Street (Roosevelt Field)
