Special Common Council & Western Lakes Fire District Fire Board Meeting Minutes May 11, 2022 President of Western Lakes Fire District called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM. Members Present: Ald. Jennifer Aultman-Kloth, Matthew Mulder, Matt Rosek, Karen Spiegelberg, Charles Schellpeper, and Lou Kowieski Absent: Ald. Christopher Douglas and Kevin Ellis Staff Present: Mayor Magnus, Mark Frye, Laurie Sullivan and Rachelle Noon Minutes from Joint Owner’s Meeting of March 9, 2022: Motion to approve minutes of March 9, 2022 was seconded and passed. Introductions made: Elizabeth Hummitzch (Mueller Communications) and Bill Foster (Community Perceptions) Presentation – Community Survey (Mueller Communications/Community Perceptions): A PowerPoint presentation and explanation of the findings of the survey were given by Chief Bowen, Ms. Hummitzch, and Mr. Foster. Questions were addressed by the aforementioned. Discuss/Act on the City’s share of the WLFD $6.3M funding request for staffing: After a brief overview, the seven municipalities then broke into separate groups to continue discussion between their respective members. A copy of the proposed resolution (22-R3039) was provided by Sullivan. Upon return to meeting room, Council was in favor of a referendum. Discussion – 5 Year Capital Improvement Plan: Brief discussion held. The next meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 14, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Oconomowoc Area School District East Campus. Motion by Village of Dousman to adjourn the Joint Special Common Council and WLFD meeting; seconded by Village of Summit.
