. City of Margaret March 9, 2018 8:00 A.M. In attendance: Councilman Perry, Councilman Ray Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre, and Mayor Howard Absent: Councilman Chapman Mayor called Special Meeting to order Discussion Council held a Special Meeting to fill vacant Council Seat for District 2 Mayor Howard opened and read the letters of interest. Mayor Howard informed the Council that one of the letters of interest was turned in after the deadline. Mayor Howard opened and read letters of interest from Justice Carter and Tamela Mickens. Mayor Howard opened the floor for discussion on each of the individuals that turned in a letter of interest. Councilman Perry made a Motion to appoint Justice Carter to the vacant seat in District 2. Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously. All Council members present voted unanimously to place the employees 3% across the board raise on the table. Councilman Ray made the Motion to give all employees a across the board 3% raise. Councilman Perry seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously. Councilman Ray made the Motion to adjourn. The Motion was seconded by Councilman Perry. Motion passed unanimously.
