. City of Margaret June 29, 2022 6:05 P.M. In attendance: Councilman James Chapman, Councilman Jonathan Ray, Councilman Matthew Tortorice, Mayor Pro-Tem Daryl McIntyre, and Mayor Jeffrey Wilson Absent: Councilman Crump Subject: Fireworks Mayor Wilson called Meeting to order Discussion Mayor Wilson informed the Council that in order for the City of Margaret to have its fireworks celebration, he would need to purchase the fireworks from Randy Carroll of Buckeye Fireworks for the cost of $4000.00. The fireworks will be handled by City of Margaret employees. Councilman Jonathan Ray expressed concerns about buying fireworks and employees handling fireworks. Mayor Jeffrey Wilson informed the Council that a waiver will be signed by employees handling the fireworks. Councilman Matthew Tortorice also express concerns about buying fireworks and suggested putting more effort in planning in fireworks shows in the future. Mayor Pro-Tem Daryl McIntyre made the Motion to approve $4000.00 to allow Mayor Jeffrey Wilson to purchase the fireworks from Randy Carroll of Buckeyes Fireworks. Councilman James Chapman seconded the Motion. The Motion was roll call voted as the following: Councilman James Chapman – Yes Councilman Jonathan Ray - No Councilman Matthew Tortorice – No Mayor Pro-Tem Daryl McIntyre - Yes Mayor Jeffrey Wilson – Yes Motion passed with Mayor Jeffrey Wilson breaking the tie, majority ruled. Councilman James Chapman made the Motion to adjourn. Mayor Pro- Tem Daryl McIntyre seconded the Motion.
