Minutes Beach Nourishment Committee Meeting July 2, 2024 Meeting called to order by Sandy Boyer 6:35P.M. at OD fire house Attendees: Sandy Boyer, Bruce Boyer, John Lawicki, Peter Mavrelis, Paul Panther, Al Hallane, David Schneider, C.J. Jackson Minutes of the May 21st meeting were approved Sandy reports: Litigation #1 dumping of sand from ditch dredging: Our legal team has filed a brief to the court to petition for sand to be deposited on the beach. Litigation #2 final decision on mitigation for the east end project: Negotiations continue towards a final conclusion to this issue. Litigation #3 save the dunes law suit on blocking beach rescue project Our engineer has been asked to give an expert opinion to the court. We are hoping for a summary judgement soon Reconcilliation: Efforts continue to collect final payments from the east end project Access way stairs: Much discussion ensued regarding funding. Access #7 and #9 were funded. Discussion regarding #16 followed. New Business: informing the community about the lawsuit against the town from Save the Dunes was suggested.
