Ms Havas would hke the mmutes updated to reflect that because of her expenence wtth the Umon StatiOn she does not thmk It will be a good venue for the Breakfast wtth Santa Ms Olsen Will make the updates to the March Mmutes BREAKFAST WITH SANTA UPDATES Mr Garcta, Ms Kamtgaki, Mt 8Iehk, Ms Wtlson, Ms Fawla, and Ms Olsen all met at the Umon StatiOn and did a tour Everyone m attendance hked the area, It IS large enough to host the breakfast, has a stage for the entertamment Mr Bob Geier assured us everythmg we will need, works properly Mr Wtlhamson hosted an event m the Brownmg Room m November and he said he did not have any Issues With the power We wtll not need the kitchen, so we do not need to worry about It Ms. Ritz motioned to host the Breakfast with Santa at the Union Station. Mr. Garcia seconded. Ms. Havas opposed, all others in attendance approved. Ms Kamigaki got some pnces for catenng, Golden CmTal will cater for $5 00 a person and McKay Dee Hospital will prepare boxed lunches for $7 per person Ms Lopez ts at a conference, so she could not attend She was gomg to contact the Clearfield Job Corp and get pnces Ms Wilson will ask her to email the mformat10n toMs Olsen Mr Biehk contacted Steve Potter, he IS mterested m performmg at the breakfast Mr Biehk will MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGDEN, UT MAY 3, 2018 PAGE 2 OF 3 send h1m over some details Mr Btehk will ask h1m to prepare a 20-mmute show The committee discussed findmg someone to make balloon ammals Ms Packham suggested we find someone that can make hohday onented balloon shapes Ms Culley suggested we consider changmg the start tune to lOam The comrmttee discussed the start times and decided to keep It at 9am Ms Kamigaki and Ms Lovell will go out and seek donatiOns for the Breakfast Ms Olsen asked all the committee to search for donatiOns The cost to sponsor a table IS $200 00 Ms Packham said she would hke to sponsor a table Ms Tuck has contacted local busmesses m the Valley and has asked them for donatiOns She IS also plannmg to VISit the Ogden Valley Busmess AssociatiOn She will contmue to look for donatiOns HONORARY MAYOR The Committee discussed potential Honorary Mayor's for the Chnstmas VIllage The committee decided to nommate Perry and Sarah Huffaker, 1f therr children will accept the honor on their behalf Mr. Bielik motioned we nominate the Huffaker family as Honorary Mayor of Christmas Village. Ms. Ritz seconded. Committee approved Ms Wilson will contact the family and let them know SWEATSHIRT DESIGN Ms Olsen showed a design the Mr Mike McBnde designed The committee hked the concept but suggested a different color of shirt and they would hke It a little more Chnstmas-y They suggested makmg the circle around the tram be a snowflake Ms Ritz said we need more shirts m the store Last year, she ran out Mr Williamson said this year, smce we are combmmg the VIllage and Hobday Parade shirts, we will have more available to sell The Parade always orders extra for their volunteers Therefore, we will have all those remammg shirts available for the store ENTERTAINMENT Mr Williamson IS plannmg to put a call out to artists for the openmg act Mr Wtlhamson IS gomg to reach out to the school chOirs, theater groups and bands, to get more entertamment on the stage We will blast It through all the different social media outlets, he does not thmk we will have a hard time fillmg the slots OPEN POSITION Ms Mazza has resigned from the committee Ms Havas submitted a resume forMs Judi Culley Ms. Nelson motioned we approve Ms. Culley. Ms. Havas Seconded. All approved. OPEN DISCUSSION Ms Ritz would hke to do the Harvest Moon Ms Olsen said lets come up With a craft and get pnees to present at the next meetmg We will find out the date Ms Olsen said we need more members to volunteer to work shifts Ms Packham smd she would buy a red canopy for the committee to use Mr Biehk asked If we can pull the store down to 25 111 Street MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGDEN, UT MAY 3, 2018 PAGE 3 OF 3 Mr Terrazas explamed that we were told we cannot set the tlam up around the fire fighters memonal, also the track IS wore out and needs to be rebmlt His crew cleaned out the tunnel at the stadmm and found the tram that was used m 1950 at Lonn Farr Park They have rebmlt It and cleaned It up He passed around pictures and said the tram Will be m the west park Ms Packham would hke to create three different photo ops for people to do p1ctures at m the VIllage She v1s1ted Thanksgivmg Pomt and they had different kmds of photo ops, they had chandeliers and a bench for people to Sit on, they have a snowman where all the k1ds can stand and do pictures Ms Packham would hke to do somethmg at the stage to keep tt hghted even when there are not performers on stage Mr Wllhamson said he has plans to do that this year Ms Packham and Mr W Ilhamson will work together to hght up the stage Ms Packham also satd we need to have kid friendly Christmas music Ms Havas asked how to get a new cottage added to the village Ms Olsen said we have bmldmg gmdelmes for the cottages Once a person has designed the cottage they submit It for approval, once approved, they can start constructiOn NEXT MEETING The next meetmg for the Chnstmas VIllage Advisory Comm1ttee IS Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 4:00pm The meetmg locatiOn 1s at the Ogden Pubhc Works Bmldmg ADJOURNMENT With no further busmess to discuss, Ms. Grundie motioned to adjourn, motion seconded by Mr. Garcia.
