PAGE I OF 2 ~c(~ CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ~Christmas ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING Village Mmutes of the regular meetmg of the Christmas VIllage Advisory Committee held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 5 00 p m at the Pubhc Works Butldmg, 133 West 291h Street, Ogden, Weber County, Utah Members Present: Judi Culley Stephame Grundte Cratg Biehk Brenda Burrup LouAnn Kamigaki Ashley Wilson Andrew Garcta Diane Nelson Members Absent: Ernie Terrazas ~n Ritz Sandra Tuck Nicole Lovell Nikki Lovell ' Cmdi I-Iellewell Ex~Officio Damien Reeves, Urban Forester Danny Agmlar, Actmg Structural Mamtenance Supervisor Stacey Olsen, ProJect Coordmatm APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms Wilson called the meetmg to order and had roll call Ms Wilson asked If everyone had a chance to review the mmutes and If someone would make a motiOn to approve the mmutes. Ms. Grundie motioned to approve the August 2, 2018 minutes. Seconded by Ms. Kamigaki. Committee approved HARVEST MOON Ms Ritz IS not present Ms Olsen said she would put a hst of supplies together and get a cost for the next meetmg She would also get a volunteer stgn-up sheet created FLOAT Ms Olsen will get a time scheduled for those mterested m lookmg at the float Mr Garcia volunteered to make the "Best m State" sign PHOTOOPS Ms. Burrup satd there ts a new Gnnch movie commg out and on the movte tratler they have some photo ops that they created for the movie She would hke to create one of those photo ops for the VIllage Ms Olsen stated that Ms Lovell has some chandeliers she IS willmg to donate for a photo op She also reported that Ms Packham has pmchased a 9' tall bear that will sit m the wooded area The bear IS so large you can stt on Its lap and use It as a photo op Ms Packhan1 also stated that Sara Toliver with VIsit Ogden IS donatmg a red truck It IS fiberglass and you can climb on It and use It as a photo op We also have the tram the kids nde We can make It mto a photo op and place It around a tree M1 Garc1a said he could make s1gns that say "Photo Op" to place by each opportunity MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGDEN, UT AUGUST 2, 2018 PAGE 2 OF 2 OPENING CEREMONY The conumttee d1scussed 1deas for the ceremony They feel we need to have some sort of entertamment whtle we are waitmg for the parade to end Havmg fun Christmas carols with the words on a screen so the kids can smg along would be a fun option Ms Olsen said Mr Williamson IS workmg Tw1hght nght now She w1ll talk w1th him and see how he feels about the smg-along 1dea BREAKFAST WITH SANTA UPDATES Ms Kamigaki smd we need to find donatwns for the dessert table Mr Garc1a agreed to contact Smiths and ask for some dessert Items and bottles of water, he Will also contact Kneaders and see If they Will donate some desserts Ms Grundie said she would contact Loft House and ask for a donation Mr Biehk reported that the magician IS concerned that he cannot get around to each table to do his magic show His tncks are designed for small groups not for a large crowd on a stage The committee discussed domg a smg along with the elves, Ms Culley said she would find out who does the balloon ammals for Liberty Days and see If he IS willmg to donate hts time for the breakfast SWEATSHIRT Ms Olsen showed the design and asked for feedback Mr Garcia volunteered to rework the design Mr. Bielik motioned the sweatshirt color be Antique Sapphire. Mr. Garcia seconded. Committee approved OPEN DISCUSSION Mr Biehk said he would contact the Standard Exammer about the Hobday Gut de. If they agree to publish It, we Will need to come up With a lot of content to fill It NEXT MEETING The next meetmg for the Christmas VIllage Advisory Cornnuttee IS Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 4:00pm The meetmg locatiOn IS at the Ogden Pubhc Works Butldmg ADJOURNMENT With no further busmess to discuss, Mr. Bielik motioned to adjourn, motion seconded by Ms. Kamigaki.
