MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGDEN, UT MARCH 7, 2018 PAGE 1 OF 2 C>~c(~ CHRISTMAS VILLAGE CT Christmas ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING Village Mmutes of the regular meetmg of the Christmas VIllage Advisory Committee held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 4 00 p m Ogden Pubhc Works Bmldmg, 133 West 291h Street, Ogden, Weber County, Utah Members Present: Sandra Tuck Judi Culley Cmdi Hellewell LouAnn Kamigaki Brenda Burrup Diane Nelson Guests: Cmdy Weloth Clmt Weston Members Absent: Jacob Chadwick Nicole Lovell Ashley Wilson Nikki Lovell Ken Ritz Stephanie Grundie Craig Biehk Andrew Garcia Ex-Officio Monte Stewart, Parks and Cemetery Manager Derek Williamson, Amphitheater Manager Stacey Olsen, ProJect Coordmator APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms Kamigaki called the meetmg to order at 4 00 pm and conducted roll call Ms Olsen mtroduced Ms Cmdy Weloth and Mr. Clmt Weston Ms Kamigaki asked If everyone had a chance to review the mmutes and If someone would make a motiOn to approve the mmutes Ms. Culley motioned to approve the February 7, 2019 minutes. Seconded by Ms. Tuck. Committee approved THEME AND SWEATSHIRT The committee discussed several Ideas for this year's theme and decided to enlist the public's help Ms Olsen will post a request for theme Ideas on Facebook She will then compile a list of all the Ideas and send It out to the committee, they Will send back their top chmces and at the next meetmg, Ms Olsen will present the top three chmces for the committee to choose their favonte Mr Williamson stated that once we have the theme, we could do a call for artists to design the sweatshirt. He would be wlllmg to offer a stipend for the wmnmg design HONORARY MAYOR The committee discussed potential Honorary Mayors for the 2019 Christmas VIllage Ms Burrup motiOned to ask Ernie Terrazas to be the 2019 Honorary Mayor ofChnstmas VIllage Ms Wcloth seconded Committee approved BUBBA'S BARN Ms Olsen stated the barn the committee bmlt for Bubba's Trailers needs redecoratmg She said we have some moveable elves we can put m side Mr Williamson srud he would pamt and clean MINU"I ES OF TilE REGULAR MEE riNG OF TilE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGOEN, UT MARCH 7, 2018 PAGE 2 OF 2 them up Ms Weloth mentioned that we turn 1t mto a remdeer stable Ms Tuck and Ms Hellewell volunteered to help BREAKFAST WITH SANTA Ms Olsen will check w1th the Umon Station and see 1f Saturday, December 7 IS available The committee discussed the table arrangements, start t1mes, and hostmg two sessiOns, no decisions were made COTTAGE APPLICATION AND AGREEMENT Ms Olsen passed out the updated cottage applicatiOn and agreement There was some discussion and a suggestiOn to add that the agreement IS to be renewed every three years Ms Olsen asked everyone to look at 1t one more time and make suggestions before she sends 1t to legal OPEN DlSCUSSION Mr Stewart asked the committee 1f they would be mterested m sellmg the old tram that was used to give k1ds ndes m the park Ms. Weloth motioned we sell the old polar express train. Seconded by Ms. Kamigaki Committee approved Ms Olsen sa1d the funds will go back mto the Chnstmas VIllage DonatiOn account Ms Burrup asked 1f we could order more hood1es th1s year Ms Olsen sa1d she will order more ofthe medmm, large and X-large hood1es Ms Tuck sa1d we need to figure out a way to hght up the store more Most people don't know 1t IS a store NEXT MEETING The next meeting for the Chnstmas VIllage Advisory Committee 1s Tuesday, April 4, 2019 at 4:00pm at the Ogden Pubhc Works Bulldmg ADJOURNMENT W1th no further busmess to discuss, Ms. Kamigaki motiOned to adjourn, motiOn seconded by Ms. Tuck.
