The purpose of the joint work session includes presentations and discussions regarding:
Agenda review for the City Council meeting;
Employee Group – Police;
General Fund Comprehensive Financial Model;
FY2017 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Quarterly Report;
Municipal Building Authority FY2018 Proposed budget and Board business;
Redevelopment Agency FY2018 Proposed budget and Board business;
City FY2018 Proposed budget:
o Specific issues for the following:
Community and Economic Development Department;
Public Services Department;
Capital Improvement Plan;
Council business; and
Council comments.
Any items not fully addressed prior to the City Council meeting, which begin at 6:00 p.m.,
will be addressed immediately following this meeting.

a. Spanish Spelling Bee Winners. Recognizing the winners of the third annual Spanish Spelling Bee and Language
Talent Competition.

5. Reports from the Planning Commission:
a. Residential Vacation Rental Ordinance Amendments. Proposed Ordinance 2017-24 amending Municipal Code
Section 15-13-38 to amend provisions relative to residential vacation rentals. (Receive input; adopt/not adopt
ordinance – roll call vote)
b. West Ogden Community Plan Amendments:
i. Presentation
ii. Receive input
iii. Proposed Ordinance 2017-25 amending the General Plan by amending the West Ogden Community Plan to add
a vision strategy 7.E addressing commercial zoning. (Adopt/not adopt ordinance – roll call vote)
iv. Proposed Ordinance 2017-26 to reclassify property generally located at 822 West to 848 West 27th Street from
Single Family Residential Zone (R-1-5) to Regional Commercial Zone/Conditional Overlay Zone (C-3/CO).
(Adopt/not adopt ordinance – roll call vote)
6. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be
considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comments will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are
to state their name for the record. Comments which cannot be made within these limits should be submitted in writing
to the City Council Office (citycouncil@ogdencity.com).
The Council encourages civil discourse for everyone who participates in our meetings. Comments pertaining to an
agenda item that includes a public hearing or public input should be given during the meeting as that item is discussed.

Continuation of Work Session
Public meetings may be held electronically in accordance with Utah Code Annotated 52-4-207 to allow Council members to participate
via teleconference. The anchor location for the meeting shall be on the 3rd Floor of the Ogden Municipal Building, 2549 Washington
Blvd., Ogden Utah.
