Recognition of Clifton’s Ladies Apparel for being one of the longest enduring and successful businesses in Ogden. 5. Approval of Minutes: (voice vote) a. Joint Work Session of September 5, 2017 – Council member Lopez b. Special Meeting of September 12, 2017 – Council member Stephens 6. Common Consent: (voice vote) a. Community and Economic Development Citizen Advisory Board. Consideration of the appointment of Mitchel Garsz and reappointment of Rick Southwick to the Community and Economic Development Citizen Advisory Committee. (Approve appointment/reappointment) December 19, 2017 Page 2 of 3 7. Reports from Administration: a. Hazard Mitigation Grant. Proposed Joint Resolution 2017-8 supporting an application for a Hazard Mitigation Grant relating to Weber River restoration. (Adopt/not adopt joint resolution – roll call vote) 8. Reports from Planning Commission: a. Backyard Chickens. i. Presentation. ii. Accept public input. iii. Consideration of Petition 2017-12 amending Ogden Municipal Code to incorporate a new section 15-13-40 to allow for and regulate residential chickens. (Uphold the Planning Commission recommendation to deny the petition/not uphold the Planning Commission recommendation and request that an ordinance be drafted to reflect petition language – roll call vote) iv. Consideration of Alternative Ordinance 2017-50 amending Ogden Municipal Code sections 12-7-6, 12-7-7, 12-7-8-, 13-2-1, 13-2-2, 13-2-3, 15-1-7 and 15-2-19 to allow for and regulate residential chickens. (Adopt/not adopt ordinance – roll call vote) 9. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their name for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Council Office (citycouncil@ogdencity.com). The Council encourages civil discourse for everyone who participates in our meetings.
