Roll Call. 2. Opening Ceremony: a. Pledge of Allegiance. b. Moment of Silence. 3. Recognitions: a. Kenneth J. Alford. Recognizing Kenneth J. Alford for his life of service as a veteran, elected official and educator. (No action required) b. Honorary Mayors of Christmas Village. Joint Proclamation proclaiming Perry and Sarah Huffaker as Honorary Mayors of Christmas Village for 2018 and declaring Saturday, November 24, 2018 as “Perry and Sarah Huffaker Day” in Ogden City. (Adopt joint proclamation – voice vote) c. Buy Local. Joint Resolution 2018-8 challenging residents to join the City Council and Mayor in promoting holiday shopping and dining within Ogden City limits. (Adopt joint resolution – voice vote) d. Native American Heritage Month. Presentation of adopted Proclamation declaring November 2018 “Native American Heritage Month” in Ogden City. (No action required) November 20, 2018 Page 2 of 3 4. Common Consent: (voice vote) a. Monarch in Moda Migrating Mural: i. Proposed Ordinance 2018-33 amending the Fiscal Year July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 in the amount of $20,000. (Set public hearing for December 18, 2018) ii. Proposed Resolution 2018-19 awarding an arts grant for the Migrating Mural Project and setting forth findings pursuant to Utah Code Annotated § 10-8-2 (2002). (Set public hearing for December 18, 2018) 5. Report from Planning Commission: a. Waste Transfer Station Zone Text Amendment. Proposed Ordinance 2018-34 amending Subsection 15-21-2 of the Ogden Municipal Code to remove a waste transfer station as a conditional use in the M -2 Zone. (Receive public input; adopt/not adopt ordinance – roll call vote) 6. New Business: a. Natural Resources and Sustainability Stewardship Committee. Proposed Ordinance 2018-35 to form a new Ogden Natural Resources and Sustainability Stewardship Committee. (Receive public input; adopt/not adopt ordinance – roll call vote) 7. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their name for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Council Office (citycouncil@ogdencity.com). The Council encourages civil discourse for everyone who participates in our meetings.
