White Center Advisory Committee Meeting Meeting Results February 10, 2021 Electronic Via Zoom Meeting 4:00 PM 222 28th St, Ogden, Utah 84401 Call to Order – Chair Ronald White Attendees: Present Absent Camille Cook Dr. Mikel Vause Tanner Koons Sara Yearsley Gerod Sawyer Ronald White Sean Bishop Regina Esparza Tom Debole Edd Bridge Priscilla Martinez Clairesse Miljour Whitney Ward – VCBO Nathan Leavitt – VCBO Approval of Minutes from 1-20-2021 Meeting  Motion to approve minutes by member Camille Cook, 2nd by member Clairesse Miljour, motion passed with no opposition 1. New Business a. Survey Numbers – Whitney VCBO  Whitney Ward with VCBO reported that since the opening of the survey we have had 825 responses, 72% of those are residents b. Survey Campaign Update – Regina Esparza  Member Regina Esparza reported that the social media campaign is gaining, the post has been shared many times by other organizations and people. Flyers and posters will be taken out to locations, and the survey will have an ad in the city Connection magazine. 2. Sub- Committee Reports a. Community Outreach Sub-Committee – Chair Priscilla Martinez  Chair Priscilla Martinez reported that the sub-committee will be canvassing the neighborhood around the center next Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. NAACP and the Diversity Commission will be volunteering to help as well. b. Programming Sub-Committee – Chair Tanner Koons  Chair Tanner Koons reported that the committee met and discussed the current programs offered. They will wait to meet again until the survey ends. 3. Public Comment – Limit to 3 minutes  Public comment was taken from Joanne Lawrence – She asked/mentioned the following:  o Timeline for the redesign – six months for the study, now at nine months  Addressed by Edd Bridge o ABC Interview with Betty Sawyer – requested it sent to her  Addressed by Ronald White and Regina Esparza, directed Joanne to check YouTube for the video and that we would try to have it posted to our social media as well o Survey weakness in asking about the pool  Comment acknowledged and noted by Ronald White ___________________________________________________ SABRINA LEE SENIOR ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT, RECREATION ________________________________________ RONALD W.
