Marshall N. White Center Advisory Committee Survey Results Meeting Meeting Results March 31, 2021 Electronic Via Zoom Meeting 12:00 PM 222 28th St, Ogden, Utah 84401 1. Welcome and Introduction  Whitney Ward from VCBO provided an overview of what would be discussed and explained the public Q & A guidelines 2. Survey Results Presentation – Whitney Ward VCBO Architecture  See attached copy of the presentation and full survey results 3. Public Q & A  Whitney Ward of VCBO reminded those in attendance about the time constraints and scope of the questions.  Angel Castillo - Resident o Q – Angel Castillo inquired about the breakdown of the survey in regard to the demographic breakdown - race, ethnicity, and area of the survey takers. o A – Whitney Ward responded – the survey was taken at a high level, it asked if they were residents or not, for their zip code, gender and ethnicity, she reviewed the presentation slides discussing these as well. o Q – Angel inquired if there was a way to go back to the data and identify within each area of Ogden who participated. o A – Whitney Ward responded – Software that was used and because it was not asked makes it difficult to go back and pull neighborhood specific data but will go back and see what they can do to filter the information.  Angela Choberka - Resident o Q – Angela mentioned the first link was not working. She then asked if the entire presentation would be posted. o A – Whitney Ward responded that the information would be repeated at the six o’clock meeting and the presentation slides with pertinent information would be posted to the website as well. o Q – Angela asked Whitney to reiterate the information about open houses. o A – Whitney explained that with the pandemic, we will be doing virtual open houses for the public as they progress in the concept development and in future phases of the project. The meetings happening today are to share the survey data.  Derek Williamson – Resident o Q – Derek asked if any of the results were out of range for the ability of the project, and if we should expect that most or all the suggestions will be accomplished. o A – Whitney responded that with the results/responses, nothing was concerning regarding not being able to address and explore all options. The survey data is what the community wants will be used to develop alternatives to the space to accommodate the various needs, as well as the potential cost of implementation and cost of operations. The alternatives and options will be presented to the community to get additional feedback. They want to make sure that they are clear with the community and get the feedback to make sure that the final solution is feasible and meets the needs of everybody as best as possible.   Diana Lopez – Community Outreach Coordinator for OPD and temporary Diversity Affairs Officer o Q – Diana asked the timeline of moving forward with concepts. o A- Whitney answered that this is what was actively being worked on with the Advisory Committee and that will be the focus over the upcoming months to put those options together and bring them back to the community. Early summer is a target to work through the final recommendations, setbacks may be in community outreach elements, but we are trying to get the project wrapped up and get the clear vision set by summer of this year.  Angel Castillo – Resident o Q – Angel provided clarification as to why she was inquiring about the representation within each district in Ogden in regard to the survey. She emphasized the goal of the Marshall White to serve all communities. Angel also commented on the upcoming budget session and emphasized the urgency of the project. o A – Whitney Ward thanked Angel for her comments.
